Project Background
Callaghan Electrical delivered the full electrical fitout for PCI Pharma Services’ new 82,000 sq. ft. pharmaceutical packaging facility at CityNorth Business Campus, Meath.
Developed by McGarrell Reilly and built by Fajon Construction, the project forms a key part of PCI’s European expansion strategy, increasing capacity for the final assembly, labelling and packaging of pharmaceutical products - particularly injectable therapies and drug-device combination products such as autoinjectors.
The state-of-the-art facility supports commercial pharmaceutical packaging, sterile injectables, oral solid dose products, temperature-controlled storage and integrated logistics.
Designed to meet the highest sustainability and technical standards, the building targeted LEED Gold certification and achieved an A3 BER rating, incorporating advanced energy-efficient systems, rainwater harvesting and enhanced environmental controls.
The project was delivered in two phases: a base build shell fitout requiring full electrical fitout followed by an internal production and operational electrical fitout.
Challenge
This was a large-scale, high-specification pharmaceutical project with strict compliance, sustainability and operational requirements.

Callaghan Electrical completed the full electrical installation for the base build shell, providing the critical infrastructure required to support future operational fitout.
