Challenge

 

North City Business Park Dublin is a high-quality managed industrial and warehouse site off the M50 / N2 motorway. A new unit, 4A, developed by Rohan Holdings, required a modern electrical fitout for this innovative and progressive LEED compliant build.  

 

The project scope included full electrical fit out of the unit from installation of new containment, general lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, general services and lighting protection.

 

Callaghan Electrical was contracted by Eamon Costello to manage the electrical fit out for end client Rohan Holdings.

Solution & Services

Our work included the installation of a full electrical services system, structured cabling for electrical containment, general lighting, emergency lighting, mechanical services electrical connection, fire alarm, lightning protection and EV systems.  It also included full testing and commissioning of all electrical work and the preparation and handover of operating and maintenance manuals.

The electrical services system included electrical supply and distribution from coordinating with the ESB, wiring to main distribution board and supply, testing and commission of main and sub-board assemblies and distribution boards. Sub-main cables were installed on an LV cable ladder with final circuit cables PVC insulated and stranded copper conductors.  Cable containment systems included trucking, tray, fire tray, cable ladder, lighting busbar, conduit and Dado trucking.  Our team completed all power socket outlets including tea stations, hand driers, electric panel heaters and special purpose outlets such as e.g. fire alarm, security, roller shutter door and dock levellers.

General and emergency lighting Installation included wiring the system, the selection and management of a specialist lighting specialist, switches, luminaires, high-level junction boxes, external lighting and lighting control.

Fire Alarm System including scoping and selecting the type of system, set up of control and indicator panel, wiring, Aspiration Smoke Detection, Approvals, Automatic Opening Vents, Fire / Smoke Dampers and Disabled Toilet and Refuge Alarm Systems.
