Education
Le Chéile Secondary School
Challenge
Le Chéile Secondary School in Tyrrelstown, in the greater Blanchardstown area of Dublin, serves a large and culturally diverse student body. Callaghan Electrical was engaged as the main electrical contractor for the supply, installation and commissioning of all electrical systems. The school was designed as a low-energy building making use of renewable energy sources such as solar PV, and while construction was mainly steel frame with brick and block cavity walls, a specialised special-needs unit was built from pre-cast concrete with integrated electrical works.
Solution
Callaghan Electrical applied its structured four-stage methodology — Pre-Commencement, Commencement, Completion and Quality & Compliance, aligned to BCAR — to deliver and commission all electrical systems, phased around the construction programme and coordinated with the main contractor, design team and school management.
