Qualified Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and qualified electrician to join our team of professionals in delivering high-quality electrical services for a wide range of projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. You will work closely with project teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Installations: Carry out the installation of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, sockets, and distribution boards according to project specifications and drawings.

• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine inspections, identify faults, and repair electrical systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

• Testing and Commissioning: Test and certify electrical installations in accordance with regulatory standards (ETCI, RECI), ensuring systems function safely and effectively.

• Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of protective equipment and adherence to health and safety regulations. Report and rectify any unsafe practices or hazards encountered.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including faults in wiring, circuits, and electrical appliances.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other trades, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless coordination of work and timely project delivery.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, service reports, and certification requirements for completed work.

• Upgrades and Retrofitting: Assist in the upgrading of existing electrical systems to meet new standards or client requirements, including energy-efficient solutions and automation systems.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Electrician Certification (e.g., City & Guilds, QQI, or equivalent)

• Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repairs within the residential, commercial, or industrial sectors

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and regulations (e.g., ETCI, RECI)

• Safe Pass Certification and up-to-date Manual Handling and Working at Heights certifications

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

• Full clean driving license (if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specialized systems such as fire alarms, emergency lighting, CCTV, and access control

• Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and sustainable electrical solutions

• Experience with electrical estimating or project management tools
